Web Development

I have been designing and coding PHP/MySQL-based websites for various individuals and companies since September 2000. Since 2003 JSP and Java Servlets have been added to that repertoirt. I have since gathered extensive knowledge of PHP, (My)SQL, HTML, CSS, JavaScript, XML, XML-RPC, JSP, Java Servlets and XSL.

Design-wise I'm more of a corporate site designer. Plain, minimal and user-friendly are my specialties, focussing more on the accessibility of the sites features and easy-on-the eye design rather than complicated and overwhelming aesthetics. Cross-browser operability is key in most of my work. I try to keep my HTML as clean and simple as possible, as to not confuse lesser browsers.

Coding-wise I try to create the code as modular as possible, making it easy for later expansion and maintainance, yet I try to keep performance at a maximum as long as it doesn't trade off the legibility and expansive possibilities of the code.
